Fresh flurries have been blanketing the Pyrenees this morning, with the Alps set to join the pow party come nightfall. The first significant snowfall of the week is due to hit the south-western Alps on Wednesday and is set to continue through until Tuesday next week.
The far southwestern French and Italian Alps will hit the snow jackpot this week: on Wednesday, Italy’s Mondole is set for a whopping 0.5-1m, while Limone Piemonte and Isola 2000 in France are forecast for 20-40cm. And there’s more - another significant storm could sweep in on Sunday, bringing even more powder to the Alps and Andorran Pyrenees, but you’ll have to stay tuned for next week’s report to see how it all plays out.
